Assistant Business Development Manager (Life)

Madison Life Assurance Kenya Limited is a member of the Madison Group and a leading provider of life assurance services throughout Kenya. The Company is recruiting for the following position:

Assistant Business Development Manager

This position will be located at the Company’s Head Office in Madison House, reporting to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market studies to identify, develop and establish the feasibility of penetrating new markets.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with corporates, especially in the SMEs and public sector.
  • Carry out market data analysis and work closely with business units in reaching untapped markets.
  • Co-ordinate with ICT department and Digital Marketing Services Department to develop and update Madison’s digital platforms.
  • Work closely with the business units and operations departments in product development.
  • Coordinate market activations and promotions with the company to assist business units to grow market share.
  • Initiate partnerships with professional associations and arrange joint activities.
  • To prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual management evaluation reports in line with set reporting standards.

Qualifications, Experience and Competences

  • Qualified candidates should have the following:
  • A Degree in business/Marketing related field; Preference to MBA Graduates
  • At least four years’ experience in marketing and/or sales AIIK/ACII
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic in sales
  • Insurance or banking experience is an added advantage
