Madison Group is recruiting for the following position:

Group Risk and Compliance Manager

The position has become vacant recently and will report to the Deputy Group Chairman.  It will work closely with other Directors and Chief Executives of the Group subsidiaries with regard to enterprise risk management policies for the subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assessment and identification of risks affecting life assurance, general insurance and asset management subsidiaries of the Madison Group;
  • Review and implementation of changes in enterprise risk management policies for the Group subsidiaries;
  • Alignment of risk management to strategic objectives of the Group subsidiaries;
  • Regular evaluation of business systems and processes;
  • Preparation and presentation of risk management reports and proposals to the Board Risk Committees;
  • Preparation of risk compliance reports for management and regulatory authorities;
  • Training of management staff in enterprise risk management. 

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Candidates are expected to be about 35 years old and have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or business administration and preferably a master’s degree in a related field;
  • Professional qualification in insurance, accounting or marketing plus relevant qualifications in risk management and training;
  • Several years’ experience in risk or audit responsibilities preferably in the financial services industry;
  • Appropriate experience in risk identification, evaluation and risk mitigation;
  • Several years’ experience in preparation of reports for senior management;
  • Proven skills in verbal and written communication;
  • Ability to design and supervise implementation of risk mitigation policies;
  • Capacity to build positive relationships with industry players and regulatory authorities.
